Farnborough, UK – At the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, Siemens is showcasing how aerospace and defense companies are using industrial artificial intelligence (AI) together with its Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to accelerate digital transformation, strengthen collaboration and shorten program delivery times.
The company says the aerospace sector continues to face growing challenges, including increasing program complexity, supply chain disruption and rising sustainability requirements. Siemens’ approach combines industrial AI with its comprehensive Digital Twin technology to connect engineering, manufacturing and operations across the entire product lifecycle.
At the show, Siemens is demonstrating a digital workflow based on a search-and-rescue drone, illustrating how organizations can create a continuous digital thread from product design through manufacturing and long-term sustainment.
According to Siemens, industrial AI supports multidisciplinary engineering and simulation to improve flight safety validation, while digital manufacturing technologies help accelerate production and address supply chain constraints. The company is also highlighting its recently introduced Digital Twin Composer and Intelligence Center X, which applies industrial, domain-specific AI to analyze operational data and support proactive maintenance and decision-making.
Siemens says these technologies are helping aerospace and defense organizations improve development efficiency, production agility and operational readiness as they develop next-generation aircraft, defense platforms and advanced manufacturing programs.
