Series C funding led by One Peak brings total investment in the company to $160 million
groundcover, the bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC), eBPF and OpenTelemetry (OTel)-native observability platform, has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round led by One Peak, with participation from Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital and existing investors Zeev Ventures, Angular Ventures, Heavybit and Jibe.
The latest investment brings the company’s total funding to $160 million and follows a year of rapid growth, during which groundcover tripled its annual recurring revenue (ARR), doubled its global workforce and expanded its customer base to more than 250 paying organizations, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.
The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate development of what it describes as the first observability platform designed specifically for the AI era. As enterprises increasingly deploy AI applications and autonomous software agents, telemetry volumes continue to grow, creating new demands for scalable, high-fidelity monitoring infrastructure.
According to groundcover, traditional observability platforms struggle to cope with the scale and complexity of AI-native environments, often forcing organizations to sample or reduce telemetry data. The company’s BYOC architecture enables customers to retain control of their data while supporting large-scale telemetry collection without sampling or cardinality limits.
“The AI era demands a completely different observability architecture, and groundcover is the only company that has built it,” said David Klein, Co-founder and Managing Partner at One Peak. “We believe they will define the next chapter of this category.”
Built on eBPF technology with native OpenTelemetry support, groundcover provides full-stack visibility across infrastructure, applications and AI workloads. Its platform is designed to deploy without requiring code changes and stores telemetry data inside customers’ own cloud environments, providing enhanced privacy, security and operational control.
The company has also introduced Agent Mode, an AI-powered capability designed to help engineering teams automatically identify, troubleshoot and remediate production issues, supporting closer collaboration between engineers and AI agents.
“We are the only platform to harness the potential of eBPF with the endless power of BYOC for observability,” said Shahar Azulay, CEO and co-founder of groundcover. “With this funding, we plan to change the way engineers and AI agents collaborate to bring true autonomy into production operations.”
Over the past year, groundcover reported more than threefold year-over-year ARR growth, signed multiple seven-figure enterprise contracts and expanded revenue from existing customers.
The company intends to invest the new funding in expanding its presence across North America, entering additional international markets, strengthening partnerships with major cloud providers and accelerating development of new AI capabilities and observability products.
Founded in 2021, groundcover provides a full-stack observability platform that enables organizations to monitor cloud infrastructure, applications and AI workloads while maintaining data ownership and reducing operational costs.
