V., CharIN, an open association founded to develop and establish the Combined Charging System (CCS) as the standard for charging all kinds of battery-powered electric vehicles, and STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications and a pioneer in making vehicles safer, greener, and more connected, have announced that ST has become a member of the initiative.
With an unparalleled portfolio of automotive and secure microcontrollers, industry-leading sensing and power technologies—including advanced silicon carbide (SiC), and top-tier secure connectivity expertise, ST brings to CharIN its unique ability to address and industrialize sophisticated, secure, yet easy-to-use interfaces for hybrid and electric-vehicle (HEV/EV) charging.
