About Tmura

Founded in 2002 by Yadin Kaufmann, who also serves as the fund’s chairman, Tmura invites early-stage startups to donate stock options rather than cash. Once these companies are acquired or go public, the options can be exercised and monetized, enabling the fund to channel these contributions into meaningful community initiatives. This innovative model allows young companies to make significant contributions, even in their early stages. To date, Tmura has donated over 100 million ILS to educational and social activities in Israel. The fund’s leading contributors, each donating over $1 million and recognized as “Communicorns™”, include Aquarius Engines, BioCatch, M-Systems, Outbrain, Riskified, Waze, and one angel investor.
