Digi International Honors Digi-Key with 2016 Distributor of the Year Award; Acknowledges Strong Sales and Customer Growth

Digi International presented Digi-Key Electronics, a global electronic components distributor, with the 2016 Distributor of the Year award for North America in recognition of strong global sales and customer growth during the past fiscal year.

“Digi presented Digi-Key with the ‘Distributor of the Year’ award for 2016 – and it’s well deserved,” said Richard Halliday, Vice President of channel sales in North America at Digi. “This award actually goes beyond their amazing 2016 customer and sales growth of more of 50% year over year.  Digi-Key provides the highest level of service to global customers by stocking the broadest range of Digi products and making sure that they are delivered anywhere in the world within days. They bring their creative and innovative spirit to everything we do together.”

Winning an award for Distributor of the Year requires a company to provide customers the selection and service they require and then exceed their expectations. Digi-Key achieves this through a commitment to continuous improvement and an emphasis on supplier relations.

“We are honored to be given this award from Digi International as a confirmation of the strong working relationship that exists between both companies,” said David Stein, VP, Global Semiconductor at Digi-Key. “Partnering with a supplier that has been focused on innovative technology in the wireless segment has helped us provide regional global solutions to engineers. We look forward to continuing to execute strategies in order to best service our mutual customers.”
