Conrad Business Supplies introduces a new handheld network tester from IDEAL Networks

NaviTEK NT offers comprehensive features and connectivity in a small package

Conrad Business Supplies has begun stocking a brand new range of handheld network testers – the NaviTEK NT – from Ideal Networks.

Designed to help network professionals quickly pinpoint and solve issues with both copper and fibre optic cabling, the compact NaviTEK NT is a convenient and efficient alternative to using a software tool or a laptop for network troubleshooting. Its compact size allows easy access to the, often restricted, areas where cables are run.

Once connected to a network, the device runs a suite of tests and displays an at-a-glance summary on the built-in screen. More detailed parameters including port information, PoE, VLAN and network traffic can be displayed in real time. The Netscan feature displays the addresses of everything connected to the network while the Network Probe feature gives a visual illustration of the network.

The NaviTEK NT tests cables accurately and quickly. Time Domain Reflectometry locates common wiring faults such as open and short circuits in copper cabling. For fibre optic cabling, NaviTEK NT shows the optical power received from the switch.

Once testing is complete, test reports can be downloaded to a USB memory key or to an Android or iOS mobile device via the free IDEAL AnyWARE app. Users can view and distribute the PDF reports. Cable installers and IT technicians can share test reports with project or IT managers, resulting in greater collaboration, more on-time job completions, reduced costs and greater uptime.

Benedikt Sehr, Product Manager, Category Business Supplies commented: “Networks are so important – modern businesses cannot function without them. The NaviTEK NT tester is an ideal solution to ensuring that businesses are able to quickly investigate and solve network-related problems.”
