Available from Powell Electronics are compact and cost-competitive MIP series pressure transducers for heavy-duty applications from Honeywell

Available from stock though Powell Electronics, the supplier of connectors and more for high-rel applications including defence, aerospace and industrial, are MIP series heavy duty, media-isolated pressure transducers from Honeywell. Benefiting from a compact, stainless steel construction, the products are ideal for use with a wide range of media including aggressive fluids and water. They provide a very cost-competitive solution for a wide range of applications in tough environments where the sensor functionality and the need to know internal or external failure modes is critical.

Multiple configuration possibilities for MIP series pressure transducers provide flexibility of use in the application with no up-front NRE or tooling charges. The excellent long-term stability, insulation resistance and dielectric strength, external freeze-thaw resistance for Metri-Pack 150 versions and great EMC performance make the transducers ideal for use in tough environments. The Total Error Band (TEB) ±0.75 %FSS (Full Scale Span) from -40°C up to +125°C for ratiometric output provides true measurement performance over the compensated temperature range. A 4mA up to 20mA output enables transmission of output signals over longer distances. The hermetically welded design supports almost any media without the use of an internal seal.
