Gmunden, March 16th, 2022 – Compact 10W AC/DCs modules have wide input range and OVC III rating.
RECOM has announced the launch of their RAC10E-K/277 series of board-mount AC/DC encapsulated modules, rated at 10W in a compact 1.8 x 1 inch (45.7 x 25.4mm) footprint. Part of the RECOM ‘Economy’ series, the modules are available with single 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24V fully regulated outputs and with a wide input range that includes nominal 100, 115, 240 and 277VAC (120 – 430VDC). The parts are particularly suitable for harsh electrical environments such as in EV chargers with their Over Voltage Category OVC III rating up to 2000m and wide operating temperature of -40 to +90°C. The parts will also find applications in industrial, AV and ITE environments, with their safety certifications to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 and compliance with OVC II up to 5000m. ‘Class B’ EMC limits are also met without external components and the parts are ErP-compliant with no-load losses of less than 100mW.
Efficiency of the RAC10E-K/277 is high and up to 84%, depending on variant, resulting in a power-dense product allowing full load operation to 65°C ambient from 115 to 277VAC. The parts are fully protected against output short circuits, over-voltage and over-current and have a reinforced isolation rating of 4kVAC/1 minute. Isolation capacitance and leakage current are particularly low at 100pF and 50µA maximum respectively.
The RAC10E-K/277 parts are highly reliable achieving over 1.7M hours MTBF at 25°C according to MIL-HDBK-217F and are supported by the standard RECOM 3-year warranty.
Michael Schrutka, AC/DC product manager of RECOM comments – “Our compact RAC10E-K series with further compressed footprint is a great fit for many applications and at a very competitive price point”.
Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorized distributors or directly from RECOM.
