Waterproof Electret Condenser Microphones Offer Ingress Protection Ratings up to IP67

TUALATIN, Ore. — February 20, 2018 — CUI’s Audio Group today announced a line of waterproof electret condenser microphones with Ingress Protection (IP) ratings of IP57, IP65, and IP67. Featuring sensitivity ratings from -42 to -25 dB and signal to noise ratios from 57 to 70 dBA, these IP rated microphones are ideally suited for a range of industrial and outdoor applications where moisture and environmental contaminants are a concern.

All models in the portfolio carry omnidirectional directivity and are housed in compact packages with diameters as small as 4 mm and depths as low as 1.5 mm. These compact, omnidirectional microphones also offer operating voltages of 2 Vdc or 3 Vdc, operating frequencies ranging from 20 to 20,000 Hz, and are available in wire lead and terminal mount configurations. Operating temperatures range from -40 up to +80°C and all microphones are RoHS compliant.
