Würth Elektronik eiSos presents a Qi Standard compatible Wireless Power Design Kit for the medium power range. The “WPC 15W kit” has been jointly developed with the Japanese IC supplier ROHM Semiconductor. Capable of being swiftly integrated into a wireless power product design, it constitutes a fast plug & play solution for developers working on products needing a wireless power supply. The kit contains transmitter module, receiver module, LED load module, quick start guide, and power supply unit with an EU, US, and UK adapter. The WPC 15W kit is now directly available from the Würth Elektronik website for 149.00 euros.
The application scenarios for wireless power in the medium power range are numerous: charging stations for smartphones and tablets, portable devices in the medical and industrial sector, or devices with a high number of charging cycles that make high mechanical demands of plug-in connectors. The Würth Elektronik eiSos and ROHM Semiconductor “WPC 15W kit” meets the Qi Standard 1.2 with an extended power profile. It is based on the MP-A7 transmitter type which achieves excellent performance values thanks to the high quality of the components used. The kit is an efficient all-round solution containing transmitter and receiver chip sets.
