Facebook CEO Gifts Solar-Powered Drone to Pope Francis

Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla saw the Pope at the Vatican. Mark wrote in his Facebook post “We told him how much we admire his message of mercy and tenderness, and how he’s found new ways to communicate with people of every faith around the world,”.

“We also discussed the importance of connecting people, especially in parts of the world without internet access.”

The real drone, dubbed Aquila, which is in testing stage now, was designed to ‘beam connectivity to places’ without internet access. Aquila, which weighs less than a car and can stay in the air for months at a time, completed its first successful flight on June 28, this year.
