element14 introduces Tektronix MDO4000C Series of Mixed Domain Oscilloscopes for RF and Wireless Applications

element14 has introduced the Tektronix MDO4000C series of Mixed Domain Oscilloscopes which will appeal to embedded engineers for applications in Internet of Things, RF and Wireless.

Available with next day delivery the oscilloscope can be configured with up to six instruments in a single unit including a full spectrum analyzer.

As with previous generations in the MDO4000 series, the MDO4000C provides a synchronized view of analog and digital waveforms along with RF spectrum traces, making it the ideal debug tool for Internet of Things (IoT) and many other embedded engineering applications.

Engineers can upgrade their MDO4000C instruments over time to meet their most demanding challenges and add functionality as needs change or budgets allow. The core oscilloscope functionality can be expanded with options to add a spectrum analyzer, arbitrary/function generator, logic analyzer and protocol analyzer.

James McGregor, Global Head of Test and Tools at element14, said: “The MDO4000C is the first Tektronix product we will stock globally as we extend our franchise.  Tektronix is a key supplier of test and tools products across all our business units.  The functionality of this product and the ability to bolt on features, which will reduce engineers’ time to market, will appeal to our broad customer base.”

The MDO4000C features 20 Mpoint record length, fast sample rate and fast >340,000 waveform capture rate to help uncover elusive problems.  50% larger display and up to 6 GHz spectrum analyzer with better spectrum analyzer performance, the MDO4000C has the ability to synchronize views across time and frequency domains, and the ability to perform vector signal analysis.

Logic analyzer timing resolution is down to 60.6 ps and independent logic thresholds per channel enable capture of multiple logic families at once.  Finally, the MDO4000C provides protocol analysis for up to three buses simultaneously with triggering up to 500Mb/s.
