TAT Israel Establishes a Center of Excellence in Machining

TAT Israel, one of the leading companies in engineering and manufacturing for the aerospace and defense industries, continues its strategic expansion with the recent inauguration of the third building in its company complex in Israel. The new building, spanning approximately 1,000 square meters, includes a single floor dedicated solely to production and will serve as a Center of Excellence in the field of machining.

The new center houses the company’s expanded machining capabilities, which support the production of cores for heat exchangers, components and accessories for thermal management systems, as well as high-precision blade refurbishment tailored to customer requirements. The department has undergone a significant technological upgrade, including the acquisition of 5-axis machines, milling machines, and advanced machining equipment for hard metals, aimed at delivering high-quality, fast, and precise support for the company’s ongoing production.

The Machining Center of Excellence strengthens the company’s internal capabilities to address supply chain challenges and ensure operational continuity, particularly during demanding periods. Recent global supply chain disruptions have underscored the critical importance of operational flexibility and in-house capabilities to meet tight schedules. The center serves as a strategic addition to the production infrastructure, enabling rapid response and high precision when needed.

The construction of the new building also allowed TAT to free up space in the existing facility and expand current workstations, as part of preparations for the company’s rapid growth. This move benefits the hundreds of TAT Israel employees who enjoy an advanced production environment and new professional opportunities. Additionally, the new center represents another milestone in TAT Israel ongoing renewal and investment in technology, quality, and innovation. It was built with a long-term vision to ensure industrial readiness for future products, while maintaining high standards of precision, reliability, and compliance with customer requirements in Israel and worldwide.

Liron Topaz, General Manager of TAT Israel: “This move carries strategic significance as part of our preparation for the future. The establishment of the advanced machining center is intended to ensure our ability to support the company’s growth plans and our vision – designing and manufacturing advanced thermal systems at the highest level, all in-house from a single component to full thermal systems. This initiative is also an integral part of our operational efficiency trend, a continuous commitment to improving productivity, streamlining production processes, and reinforcing workflow continuity in the plant. These steps will enable us to maintain our growth pace, enhance our attractiveness to customers and other stakeholders, and continue positioning TAT Israel at the forefront of industrial innovation and excellence.”
