Element Security Emerges from Stealth with $5M in Funding to Lead the Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) Category

The Israeli startup has developed a proprietary exploit engine that continuously and actively attempts to hack their customers’ external-facing assets, identifying high-impact exposures before attackers can exploit them.

Element Security, an innovative Israeli cybersecurity startup, has emerged from stealth mode after two and a half years to unveil its advanced Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) solution. The cloud-based platform helps organizations to manage their external attack surface with the precision and insight of an attacker. Launched in early 2023, it has already been adopted by major global companies in the finance, automotive, and aviation sectors.

Alongside the technology unveiling, Element Security announced raising $5 million in funding from senior investors, including the Q Fund VC, Eddy Shalev, Danny Yamin (former CEO of Microsoft Israel), and Kobi Rosengarten (former General Partner at JVP).

Daniel Lublin, CEO and Co-founder of Element Security, stated: “In the rapidly evolving digital era, many organizations understand the critical need for proactive defense of their external attack surface. Our platform represents a paradigm shift from reactivity to prevention. We use advanced attack methodologies to identify and prioritize high-impact exposures in real time. Our automation enables continuous scanning of a wide range of digital assets, far beyond the capabilities of traditional tools. This approach allows the organization to focus on issues that have validated and immediate impact on their security posture.”

Omer Cohen, Co-founder and COO at Element Security, added: “Our growing client base, including top-tier organizations, demonstrates our powerful, efficient, rapid, and user-friendly solution to a pressing problem. We’ve seamlessly integrated our solution into large organizations across various segments. All sales in our first year were executed in-house, primarily with the goal of securing partners and distributors in target markets to expand our opportunities significantly. We aim to continue growing sustainably and responsibly for many years to come.”

Element Security’s proactive approach involves technology that continuously and automatically attempts to breach external-facing assets exposed to the internet—whether on-premise, in the cloud, or in third-party applications (SaaS). Upon detecting a vulnerability, the system triggers an alert and provides the security team with a detailed proof of concept. This includes the complete attack chain, the payloads used, mitigation advice, and a severity score that accurately reflects the current impact.

Kobi Rosengarten, an investor in Element Security, concluded: “The company has quickly demonstrated its ability to secure substantial long-term deals with major clients who adopted its offered solutions, thus expressing confidence in the company and its leaders, Daniel and Omer, driving its rapid growth.”

Element Security was founded in 2021 by Daniel Lublin, who led the Red Team at Check Point, and Omer Cohen, Unit 8200 graduate and serial entrepreneur. Daniel recognized that existing solutions often generated excessive noise from unvalidated alerts and lacked adequate automation for managing large and dynamic attack surfaces. This insight led them to develop a platform that shifts security from reactive to proactive. By actively identifying and validating exposures, Element Security helps teams prioritize real threats and address high-impact issues efficiently before they can be exploited.
