Intel Israel to double annual spending with diversified suppliers to NIS 700 million by 2030

• Publishes the 14^th consecutive a Corporate Responsibility Report for 2019-2020
• Commits to implementing the goals set forward by Intel Corporation for the coming decade
• To launch in July new program to support 100 Israeli businesses owned by women, minorities, or located in the periphery.
• Starts AI For Youth: AI Skill training program for youth across Israel
• Published a Call for Proposals for water source rehabilitation projects

As part of Intel Corporation’s strategy to help resolve global challenges and transform society from the inside, Intel Israel today announced, at the launch of its new Corporate Responsibility Report, a series of commitments it strives to achieve with a decade:

• 100%-increase of the procurement from businesses owned by women, minorities, or located in the periphery. Intel Israel currently spends NIS 250 million with diversified businesses and will double this amount to NIS 700 million by 2030.
• Increase the rate of women in tech positions at Intel to 40%: this goal is especially ambitious considering that Intel Israel employs 13,750 people and women’s rate in the faculties relevant for Intel stands at 29%. Women currently account for 25% of Intel Israel’s employees. To reach this goal, Intel already offers scholarships, and women empowering programs such as Boost Your Career. It will expand this work by deploying the organizational infrastructure and nurturing a company-wide commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
• AI skills for youth: already in the coming school year, Intel Israel will implement AI For Youth, a global program that seeks to equip over 30 million people with AI skill. A pilot of the program will open in September in four towns and expanded later to more schools across Israel.
• Use of clean energy in all of Intel Israel sites: the company has undertaken to buy 100% of the power it purchases from renewable sources. At present, 50% of the electricity consumed by Intel Israel is generated via green technologies.
• Zero waste to landfills in Israel: Intel Israel has committed to sending zero waste to landfills by 2030. Among others, Intel will implement a circular economy strategy on 60% of the waste it generates.
• Achieve positive use of 60 billion gallons (227 million liters) of water: Intel Israel has committed to advance, through funding, rehabilitation of water sources and has published a call for proposals for such projects from external parties.
• Support for Israeli SMBs: in July, Intel will start implementing a new training program meant to help SMBs owned by women and minorities, or located in the periphery deal with the COVID-19 crisis with new capabilities and tools.
• Increase the rate of Intel Israel employees who identify themselves as having a limitation or disability to 10% from 3% today.
