New Indicator Buzzers Feature Tight Frequency Tolerances

TUALATIN, Ore. — June 23, 2020 — CUI Devices’ Audio Group today announced the introduction of new magnetic and piezo indicator buzzers with tight frequency tolerances of ±100 Hz. Thanks to their narrow frequency range, these audio indicators offer added frequency stability that is not affected by temperature or voltage, while providing more consistent tones and sounds in an end application. This makes them a highly reliable solution for medical, smart home, and security applications that require greater tone consistency.

With a built-in driving circuit, these magnetic and piezo buzzers feature sound pressure levels (SPLs) of 80, 85, or 88 dB at 10 cm, rated frequencies of 2400, 2700, or 4000 Hz, and rated voltages of 3, 5, or 12 Vdc. The models further offer through hole mounting styles and are housed in compact packages with diameters as small as 9.6 mm and profile depths as low as 5 mm. These audio indicators also carry an operating temperature range from -30 up to 70°C and are wave solder compatible.

CUI Devices’ new magnetic and piezo indicator buzzers are available immediately with prices starting at $0.79 per unit at 100 pieces through distribution. Please contact CUI Devices for OEM pricing.
