PROVERTHA is now expanding its extensive portfolio of M12 interconnect solutions with a new M8 connector series. The 360° shielded M8 connectors with a crimp flange are predestined for demanding applications in Industrial Ethernet networks such as EtherCAT with IP67 protection, where they ensure a robust, functionally reliable Ethernet connection and interference-free data transmission.
Typical applications that benefit from the advantages of the new M8 connectors include stamping machines and robot applications in industrial automation, with high demands on shock and vibration resistance and torsional strength. In addition to the designs with a vibration-proof crimp flange system, versions with screwed cable glands are also available. The 360° EMI/RFI shielding of the crimp flange system and the rotated crimp contacts ensure maximum network security.
The all-metal housing offers protection against interference and mechanical stress in harsh environments. Due to the compact dimensions, reliable connections can be realized even in cramped installation conditions. The M8 connectors are easy to assemble in the field thanks to their ease of installation and few components. The plastics used are certified for railway applications.
PROVERTHA is launching the new M8 connector series in straight 3 and 4-pole designs (male and female) with A-coding. More versions will follow gradually. The new M8 connector series will be presented for the first time at Hannover Messe 2018 (Hall 11, Stand E28).
