Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) today introduced a new version of its audio graphical development tool. SigmaStudio 4.0 includes new features and enhancements including more intuitive user interface controls, cross-application support, and inter-process communication designed to simplify advanced audio signal processing designs for automotive, consumer, professional audio, installation, and industrial applications.
Cross-application support enables SigmaStudio control from other design engineering environments, such as Python™, MATLAB®, LabVIEW, or any dotnet-based application. Inter-process communication allows SigmaStudio to send information packets to one or more supported remote processors (e.g. TCP/IP).
SigmaStudio 4.0 offers users increased speed for design cycles by using indirect generic function calls instead of direct memory mapping to avoid recompiling uC host code. It also enables integration of third-party algorithms into the SigmaStudio ecosystem.
“We are thrilled to start working with the updated SigmaStudio features,” said Albert Yong, Head of Electronics and Software at Bowers and Wilkins (B&W). “With the indirect parameter access and control, and improved scripting, we are going to save time and further refine our line of products.”
