AAEON Technology Europe BV announces collaboration with Eurotech to power its IIoT gateways with ESF edge framework

AMARO (Italy), February 28, 2018 – AAEON Technology Europe BV to launch a partnership with Eurotech to integrate ESF (Everyware Software Framework) device and data management platform for its IIoT gateways.

With the launch of AAEON Europe’s Industry 4.0 gateways embedding Eurotech’s ESF, customers will now be able to fully leverage IoT integrated services to simplify and scale their Industry 4.0 deployments.

AAEON Europe solutions are focused in bringing “Artificial Intelligence On The Edge“ through a broad range of Industrial IoT Edge gateways able to gather data either from the legacy and new “things” layers, offering a great computational power that makes easier the decentralized analysis and the advanced elaboration of data.

Eurotech’s ESF raises the standard for simplicity and interoperability in the implementation of industrial IoT solutions. ESF adds provisioning, advanced security, remote access, diagnostics monitoring. It supports ready-to-use field protocols (including Modbus, OPC-UA, S7), MQTT connectivity, and a web-based visual data flow programming to acquire data from the field, process it at the edge, and publish it to IoT Cloud Platforms. Connecting devices leveraging different industrial protocols and defining complex edge computing logic has never been so simple. The flexibility of connecting with different IoT cloud providers makes ESF a powerful framework for open and integrated Industry 4.0 applications.

Marco Barbato, Product Director at AAEON Europe said “the partnership with Eurotech enables our IIoT edge solutions to any kind of Industry 4.0 application, either retrofit or new implementation. ESF allows our IIoT gateways to connect seamlessly the things level with the IT level regardless the fieldbus or data protocol in usage, over a monitored and secure transport layer. ESF is a complete and secure edge Framework for the industry”.

“This partnership with AEEON Europe once again stresses the importance of doing ecosystem in the IoT/IIot environment. The availability of having a common software framework at the edge allows to preserve customer investment over the time. The availability of ESF on AAEON Europe’s Industry 4.0 gateways will make final customer life easier.” stated Giuseppe Surace, Eurotech Group CP&MO.
