Guenter Weinberger new CEO of TDK-Micronas GmbH

TDK Corporation announces that effective January 09, 2018 Guenter Weinberger has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TDK-Micronas GmbH.

“We are very happy to welcome Mr. Weinberger to the TDK Group. His experience within the industry and his management skills will be a strong support for TDK-Micronas and the Magnetic Sensor business of TDK”, says Noboru Saito, head of TDK’s sensor business. 

Mr. Weinberger has gained more than 25 years of experience within the semiconductor industry. He started his professional career at Siemens Semiconductors, later Infineon Technologies, after graduation as an MS EE (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering).
At Siemens Semiconductor Group and Infineon Technologies he held a number of general management positions. From 1999 onwards, he was responsible worldwide for Infineon’s wireless business.

From 2002 thru 2008 Guenter Weinberger was President and CEO of Sandbridge Technologies, Inc., a US start-up company providing multimode wireless solutions to major handset manufacturers. In 2009 Guenter Weinberger joined Solar-Fabrik AG, a German PV module manufacturer, as CEO.

“I am very much looking forward to my future role as CEO of TDK-Micronas GmbH and I am confident to provide major contributions to the future growth of TDK’s sensor business”, says Guenter Weinberger.
