Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) has opened an R&D facility in Ottawa, Canada, which will focus on the design, characterization, validation, and testing of highly integrated RF products across multiple industries including cellular infrastructure, instrumentation, and aerospace and defense. The LEED-certified facility is 50 percent larger than the previous facility and will continue to house engineering staff dedicated to advancing the company’s RF and wireless technology solutions.
“ADI’s Ottawa team has a proven track record of delivering complex RF ICs to top-tier cellular infrastructure customers,” said Gorkem Guven, Analog Devices’ general manager of RF and High Speed Products, RF and Microwave Business Unit. “ADI’s investment in a state-of-the-art facility in Ottawa where talented RF and wireless engineers can be found is key to our continued growth and success. We expect many great products to continue to emerge from this talented group of engineers.”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony recently held at the R&D facility in Ottawa was attended by Analog Devices employees including (shown left to right in photo) Mark Cloutier, staff scientist; Edward Balboni, director RFIC; Gorkem Guven, general manager; Mike Gianino, director test & product release; and Patrick Boutard, Ottawa site manager.
