XP Power signs global distribution agreement with RS Components and Allied Electronics

XP Power today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with global electronics distributor Electrocomponents plc, incorporating trading brands RS Components and Allied Electronics. Covering XP Power’s AC-DC power supplies, DC-DC converters and high voltage power supplies, over 2,500 products will now be available from RS and Allied.

XP Power’s AC-DC power supply range of ITE and medical safety-certified products cover power outputs from 5 Watts to 3,000 Watts and includes desktop, plug-in wall mounted, DIN rail, open-frame and enclosed chassis mount power supplies. Other popular mechanical formats include encapsulated and open-frame PCB mounted units. Many of the units also conform to the requirements of the recent Level VI energy efficiency specifications and have efficiencies up to 95 %.

DC-DC converters, including those certified for use in medical and railway applications, range from 0.25 Watt to 600 Watts output, and are available in SMD, through-hole, baseplate cooled and chassis mount configurations. Low cost switching regulators also form part of the DC-DC converter line up.
Following XP Power’s acquisition of EMCO High Voltage last year, DC to high voltage DC converters covering both regulated and proportional ranges up to 10 kV will form part of the offering.

Steve Head, Marketing Director, XP Power comments, “We’re delighted to be partnering with RS Components and Allied Electronics for the distribution of our AC-DC power supplies, many of which are classed as the ‘world’s smallest’, and DC-DC converters. With their global reach, focus on similar markets to ourselves and the respect of the engineering community they are an ideal partner for XP Power.”
