IZT Presents its Latest Broadcast Solutions at IBC

Show highlights include the S1000 Signal Generator with expanded DVB-T/DAB support

Erlangen, Amsterdam – August 19, 2016 – IZT GmbH will take part in this year’s International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam fromSeptember 9 to 13. At its booth (Hall 8, booth A.68), IZT is presenting its latest solutions for broadcast infrastructures like the DAB/DRM ContentServer and high-performance test and measurement products, including the S1000 signal generator with expanded DVB-T/DAB support. Further show highlights include products from IZT’s families of wideband receivers.

S1000 signal generator with enhanced features

IZT will present a cost-effective solution to test digital TV receivers for DVB-T, DVB-T2, ISDB-T, based on its S1000 signal generator. In addition, IZT demonstrates the efficient testing of DAB receivers using the S1000 and the EDI/ETI interface. The signal generator platform S1000 combines 31 virtual signal generators into one compact, flexible RF test source. The IZT S1000 is a popular testing solution for the development and verification of receiving devices and is for example fully supported in HD radio and XM type approval setups.

High performance RF receivers

The R3000 receiver family allows to analyze and demodulate analog and digital wideband signals. At IBC, IZT will showcase the digital wideband receiver R3301, as the preferred means for recording RF signals in the field. Four Terabytes of storage space can record up to 20.5 MHz bandwidth over twelve hours with 16 Bit resolution. In particular, IZT will demonstrate DAB/DAB+ demodulation and analysis on the R3301.

The IZT SignalSuite CSM, a Communication Satellite Monitoring solution, enables automatic carrier detection, carrier and interferer analysis of all typical satellite carriers including GSM and other TDMA standards.

For an instantaneous bandwidth of 120 MHz and frequency/time-selective recording of up to 18 GHz, IZT offers an immensely powerful device, the IZT R4000.

DAB/DRM Content Server

The IZT DAB ContentServer provides professional multiplexer systems for digital radio networks. It combines audio encoding, data service management and multiplex generation for Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) – including DAB Classic, DAB+ and DMB. As part of its portfolio for digital radio, IZT also offers the DRM ContentServer, a multiplexer system for short and medium wave digital radio.

A further option is the DAB ContentServer Embedded Edition to provide an entry-level solution for DAB receiver testing. It is directly available on the S1000 signal generator Memory Extension. In consequence, it becomes even easier to generate DAB test sequences and to test DAB receivers in real-time with the S1000.

Visitors at IBC 2016 can register on-site (https://www.ibc.org) or online for free by entering the IZT code 17740.
