Aeris and Digi-Key Offer an Innovative IoT Connectivity Platform

Obtaining and managing connectivity from the Aeris Neo platform is easier, faster, and gets your IoT project up and running quickly

Global electronic components distributor Digi-Key Electronics, the industry leader in electronic component selection, availability and delivery, and Aeris, a pioneer in the Internet of Things (IoT) market, today announced the availability of cellular connectivity through Neo SIM cards along with an innovative self-service portal designed for connectivity management. Compatible with GSM cellular devices, customers can order a SIM card today and have their device up and running tomorrow.

The Aeris Neo platform enables a significantly faster development time for customers with lower costs, added flexibility, and an advanced self-service portal to allow accurate monitoring of the SIMs’ activity.

“Our partnership with Digi-Key provides their half million plus customers worldwide with access to our award-winning Neo platform, which makes purchasing and managing connectivity for IoT devices much easier,” said Andy Greig, Vice President of Sales in North America at Aeris. “No longer will customers have to worry about negotiating complicated contracts with cellular providers. With Neo, those looking to develop solutions for the Internet of Things can launch their products to market faster and with fewer obstacles.”

Purchasing, activating and managing cellular connectivity service has traditionally been a large pain point for customers looking to deploy M2M and IoT solutions. The wide array of capabilities within the portal allows engineers to monitor usage trends, change the SIM status, troubleshoot a device and set alerts all in one place.

“The Aeris Neo solution takes connectivity to the next level, providing the flexibility and simplicity to get customers off the ground quickly, which is especially useful in this fast-evolving IoT market,” said David Stein, Vice President, Global Semiconductors at Digi-Key. “This platform takes the focus off of trying to find and activate a SIM that works with their product and puts that time back into developing for the application.”
