Cutting Down On Emails Is The One New Year’s Resolution You’re Gonna Keep. Meet XROS

One negative aspect that every professional can do without is the hassle of business emails. XROS (pronounced cross, for cross-company) offers a new messaging app where you can stay on top of every business conversation, with anyone, from any company.

If you’re anything like most professionals, you maintain various business conversations with groups of people from many companies, happening in different platforms simultaneously. This mostly means email, but also WhatsApp, Facebook, Skype and more. XROS replaces all these with one simple messaging app for all your business conversations.

Current methods for professional communications are inadequate. Email is complicated and slow, especially when compared to personal messaging apps. As a result, nearly 25% of professionals use tools like WhatsApp and Facebook for work communication. Yet these platforms are not designed to manage work relationships, making no distinction between professional and personal contacts, and lacking basic business tools like desktop apps, file management, persistent conversations, full search, and much more.

XROS is a messaging app that allows you to communicate with your entire business network. There are private messaging apps already, or team ones – but XROS is the first one that lets you have your entire network in one convenient location, everyone you work with – clients, suppliers, advisors, investors. That’s why XROS suits everyone – businessmen, entrepreneurs, freelancers, service providers, lawyers etc.

“We recognized the need to solve business communication problems, that sometimes drive businesses to mix up and even lose important information,” said XROS founder and CEO, Ami Ben-David. “We want to help them extract the most important parts. at first, we tried to tackle the problem by improving the email. But we realized email is the problem, not the solution. That’s why we moved to real-time messaging. We believe that the same way Whatsapp changed the way we communicate on a personal level – the revolution is happening in the business world.

Imagine you had one simple messaging platform for all your professional discussions. It would be super-fast, easy-to-use, and would give you instant visibility over everything that’s going on. Most importantly, you could instantly add any contact from any company to any channel. This is all possible with XROS.

With XROS, all your contacts can join discussion channels instantly, without downloading an app or even registering an account. When a contact is added to a channel, they simply get a link, click it, and they’re in. Simple. No Downloads. No registrations. The recipient has immediate access to the channel’s entire history, getting them quickly up to speed.

Making the adoption of XROS even more efficient, the platform can analyzes a users’ email inbox, highlighting large threads that would be better suited for messaging. With one click, these email threads can instantly become a messaging channel.

“We’ve put our biggest efforts on creating a suitable for business user experience: The ability to invite anyone to any conversation even if they never used XROS before, and now they can join a conversation in 10 seconds. Development of a full computer friendly interface, support for large files transfer, search history etc.” Added Ben-David. “The product is new, but there’s no reason why millions of people can’t use it already. Since it’s designed for business use, it will be free, but we’ll offer the purchase of products like External Archive, which can help lawyers for example. It’s too soon to talk about the usage scale of the app, since we’re only at the beginning of our journey, but we can already see a growing number of people that’s using it outside of our PR efforts, so we’re happy with the direction it’s going. Right now we’re working on a second round of investments. ”

XROS’s messaging platform offers the following features:

  • Instant creation of channels, with anyone, even if they are not on XROS
  • Easy access to your network of email contacts
  • Cross platform capabilities, including mobile and desktop apps
  • File sharing from multiple services including Dropbox, iCloud Drive, and Google Drive
  • Full conversation histories
  • Search that spans all conversations

“While working on my previous product, TL;DR Email, we realized that we were trying to breathe new life into email. But email is a dead-end, and it is no longer the ideal solution for professional communication,” said XROS founder and CEO, Ami Ben-David. “With XROS, we’ve set about creating a better and more efficient alternative. We are the only firm focusing primarily on cross-company messaging, and XROS is perfect for freelancers, consultants, and professional agencies, and all dealings with clients and outside firms.”
