Mouser Now Shipping Murata’s Tiny MTC1 DC-DC Converters

New Series Reduces Footprint by 34 Percent

November 13, 2015 – Mouser Electronics, Inc. is now stocking the new MTC1 series of 1W DC–DC converters from Murata Power Solutions. These new single-output voltage converters occupy 34 percent less board space than similar converters without requiring additional regulation components.

The Murata MTC1 series of 1W DC–DC converters, available from Mouser Electronics, feature models with a 2:1 input voltage range from 9V – 18V (12V models) and 18V – 36V (24V models) and output voltage range of 3.3V, 5V, or 12V, with a 3kVAC isolation voltage (hi pot) rating. The output voltage is adjustable by ±10 percent via a voltage trim pin, and a remote on/off pin provides the ability to disable the output for application power saving. All models provide continuous short-circuit protection and offer fixed-frequency operation and a standard operating temperature of -40 degrees Celsius to +100 degrees Celsius.

The MTC1 series converters are offered in a six-pin, 14.99 mm × 14.22 mm × 11.23 mm surface-mount package, and are ideal for use in a variety of applications, including industrial, telecommunications, and medical (certification pending for ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1).
